Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract position offers a dynamic opportunity to provide speech-language pathology services within elementary schools in New Market, MD. The role is designed to support increased caseloads in public school settings, with flexible scheduling options available, including full-time and part-time hours. The contract begins as soon as possible and continues through June 5th.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students in elementary school settings
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and communication needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with educational and clinical standards
- Participate in meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team efforts
Qualifications:
- Valid Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience working within school systems, particularly in elementary education settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and adapt to varying student needs
