An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Itinerant Music Therapist to provide specialized therapeutic support within a school setting in New Market, Maryland. This contract position offers the chance to work one day per week, making a meaningful impact on students well-being and development through the power of music therapy.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized music therapy sessions to students with diverse needs across various school locations
• Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to design and implement effective therapeutic plans
• Monitor and document student progress to ensure goals are met and adjust interventions as necessary
• Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements and school policies
• Participate in relevant meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

• Current Maryland Music Therapy licensure required
• Proven experience working as a music therapist in educational settings, preferably with children or adolescents
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families
• Ability to work autonomously while managing scheduling as an itinerant therapist
• Adept at customizing therapeutic strategies to meet individual student needs

Location: New Market, Maryland (schools within the district will be assigned)
