A prestigious country club in New Jersey is seeking a clubhouse manager to join its leadership team. Clubhouse Manager Benefits & Compensation
- $85,000–$95,000 base salary, commensurate with experience
- Health insurance available
- Applicable CMAA dues paid by the club
Clubhouse Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in hospitality or club management, preferably in a private club or high-end resort
- 2–4 year degree preferred, especially in hospitality management or a related field
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team across multiple departments
- Private club, resort, or hospitality experience required
- Proficiency in POS systems, club management software, and Microsoft Office Suite
Clubhouse Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Hands-on, service-oriented leadership approach
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
Clubhouse Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Supervise all a la carte and catering services, clubhouse housekeeping, and general maintenance awareness
- Hire, train, and manage front-line F&B managers and service staff
- Oversee daily club operations and act as acting manager in the COO’s absence
- Lead staff training, professional development, and maintain contact with members for maximum satisfaction
- Address and resolve complaints from members, guests, and employees
- Participate in facility inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards
- Collaborate with various departments for payroll, HR needs, preventive maintenance, and event planning
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and enforce dress codes for staff and members
- Manage the club’s internship program and employee accommodations
