Job Summary and Qualifications

* This is a Day Shift position, Monday - Friday, hours may vary from 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm. *

The Patient Safety Coordinator assist the Patient Safety Director with operational oversight of the Patient Safety and Risk Management program. They help support the promotion of a patient safety culture, emphasizing risk reduction while analyzing trends of events to determine process improvements to ensure alignments of patient safety and high reliability strategies.

What You Will Do In This Role:

  • Assists in the evaluation of near misses, investigation of occurrence reports,. clinical surveillance, and regulatory/legislative standards
  • Assist the Patient Safety Director to educate, evaluate, monitor, and or the elimination of professional and general liability exposures
  • Collects, analyzes and evaluates data to develop recommendations for improvement of clinical risk management programs
  • Collaborates with the Patient Safety Director in completion of CSIP
  • Demonstrate effective communication, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver verbal and written information in a clear, concise manner
What qualifications you will need:
  • Bachelors Degree in healthcare related field
  • Current RN license in the State of TX or compact license
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive health care experience in an acute care facility OR 1-2 year experience in clinical risk management
  • Must be comfortable working in Excel, reading and collecting data, and also knowledgeable with Power Point
