Leidos is seeking a highly qualified Integrated Logistics Lead to support the Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) Program.   . Nationwide congestion is increasing, and the need for efficient aircraft traffic planning is critical. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) is the surface management solution that will provide NextGen Air Traffic Control capabilities to improve air traffic operations in the National Airspace System (NAS). The Terminal Flight Data Management (TFDM) program is a Federal Aviation Administration s (FAA) NextGen program based on airport surface management provides that efficiencies for both the airport surface and terminal airspace by providing a new and comprehensive integrated surface traffic control and management system. 

This position is critical to the success of the program and will be named in the contract documentation. The selected candidate must meet all qualifications and receive approval from the FAA prior to onboarding.

The Integrated Logistics Lead will be responsible for overseeing logistics planning, execution, and management to ensure seamless delivery of program objectives for the TFDM Program. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in logistics operations, engineering principles, and federal contract compliance.

Location: Gaithersburg, MD; Atlantic City, NJ; Eagan, MN

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement integrated logistics strategies to support the objectives of the TFDM Program.
  • Determine spares strategy and sparing quantities to ensure operational readiness and availability.
  • Monitor system failures and analyze data to identify trends, enabling proactive resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services critical to TFDM operations.
  • Work closely with the FAA Logistics Lead to communicate issues across the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) area of responsibility, including ILS, Training, and Technical Manuals.
  • Monitor and report on logistics performance metrics to ensure compliance with FAA requirements and TFDM program goals.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to logistics and supply chain operations for the TFDM Program.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for logistics-related matters with the FAA and other stakeholders involved in TFDM.
  • Ensure adherence to federal regulations, contract requirements, and industry best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 12 years of relevant experience in directing ILS managers and ILS engineers in the design and performance of preventive and corrective maintenance services as well as supply management and other logistics element functions in an automated logistics management environment.
  • Proven track record of managing logistics operations for large-scale federal contracts, preferably in air traffic management programs.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and compliance requirements, particularly in relation to the TFDM Program.
  • Ability to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.
  • Experience with workload, staffing and personnel management
  • Strong communication skills to interface with internal and external customers
  • Experience driving team to critical milestones
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
