Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in school-based therapy is needed for a contract position in Antioch, TN. This role involves delivering specialized speech and language services to elementary students within a well-structured schedule. The ideal candidate will possess a Tennessee SLP license alongside a valid teaching certification for the state.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license for Tennessee
- Tennessee teaching certification
- Experience working with elementary-aged students
- Proficiency with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
- Strong skills in IEP development and participation in meetings
Job Details:
- Location: Antioch, TN
- Contract assignment starting ASAP with an End of School Year (ESOY) end date
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Weekly hours: 35
- Caseload: Manage approximately 13 students directly, provide services and IEP input for up to 20 students
- Population: Elementary students with various speech and language needs, including three utilizing AAC devices
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech and language therapy services aligned with students IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and update IEPs
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Support students using AAC devices as well as those with diverse communication challenges
