Job Description
Job Description
Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a smaller public school district located in the northern suburbs of Denver, Colorado. This district serves approximately 7,000 students across 16 sites and welcomes both new graduates and experienced professionals. The role supports students from Pre-K through 6th grade at an elementary school, providing services to a diverse caseload of about 40 students with mild to severe speech and language needs.
Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, delivering direct speech-language services, writing service notes, and managing cases when speech is the sole IEP service. Approximately half of the caseload requires mild to moderate support, while the remainder involves moderate to severe needs. Speech service minutes are scheduled monthly. Clinical Fellows (CFs) are supported with district-provided supervision. This position requires bilingual fluency in English and Spanish to effectively serve the student population.
The district follows a two-step interview process: an initial 15-30 minute screening interview via Teams with the director of integrated services, followed by a 30-45 minute panel interview, preferably in person but flexible based on candidate availability. Candidates applying must possess or be in progress toward obtaining Colorado Department of Education (CDE) licensure; this credential is verifiable via the public state website. Note that the district does not accept VOCO or hybrid licenses, nor does it hire SLPAs or contract nurses.
Desired qualifications:
- Valid SLP or SLP CF certification with bilingual English/Spanish proficiency
- Experience working with Pre-K to 6th-grade students across a range of speech and language impairments
- Strong caseload management and documentation skills
- Willingness to work within a public school setting and collaborate with educational teams
Location: Englewood, Colorado (Northern Denver suburbs)
This position offers meaningful work with supportive supervision and a welcoming environment that values both new graduates and seasoned SLPs. Candidates currently relocating or pursuing CDE credentials are encouraged to indicate their status in the application.
To pursue this opportunity, please submit your credentials, including your CDE status or progress, to begin the interview process. Take the next step in your career serving a diverse student community with a committed educational team.
Compensation for this position ranges from $42.13 to $57.73. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
