Overview

Inventory Control Clerk

2nd shift-2:30PM-11:00PM Accurately maintain inventory control system by recording receipts, issues, transfers, and cycle counts, storing and filing materials away in logical order, and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the inventory storage area.

Essential Duties and Functions

• Receive purchased and manufactured materials into appropriate warehouse.
• Review all incoming move tickets and packing slips for proper disposition.
• Place material into appropriate bin location.
• Reconcile any discrepancies with appropriate persons.
• Issue or transfer materials form stockroom.
• Review open order reports, pick lists, or job travelers to determine material to be pulled.
• Check inventory status by item and location to determine availability.
• Issue or transfer material to required location.
• Drive a tow motor and upright lift.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Cycle counting of parts
• Research inventory discrepancies and draw conclusions for cause.
• Manage complete physical inventory of assigned area.
• Maintain order in warehouse by utilizing methods such as consolidation of like parts, reorganizing bin locations, set up work in process locations.
• Maintenance of WIP locations and accuracy
• Keep warehouse clean and organized.
• Monitor negative inventory on daily basis.
• Ensure receipts, disbursements, transfers or shipments keyed into inventory control system.
• Prepare receiving reports
• Matches and verify receipts with packing slips, open purchase orders, or the shipping register.
• Prepare itemized documents for issuing of materials.

Physical Demands

• Constant walking, standing, twisting (neck and waist).
• Frequently sitting, bending (neck and waist), squatting, keyboarding, simple grasping (either hand), power grasping (either hand), fine manipulation (either hand), pushing and pulling (either hand), reaching below shoulder level.
• Occasionally kneeling, keyboarding, telephone use, keyboarding and phone use simultaneously, reaching above shoulder level.
• Constantly lifting up to 10 lbs, Frequently lifting up to 25 lbs, Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Required to have visual acuity sufficient to perform described essential duties and functions with sufficient quality and efficiency.
• Vision requirement: Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color vision,.and adjust focus.
