Speech-Language Pathologist - El Dorado County, CA (Contract)

This contract opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) interested in working in various school locations throughout El Dorado County, California, during the 2026-2027 school year. The district covers a broad geographic area, including sites from El Dorado Hills to Camino, with specific locations confirmed in May. Candidates should be comfortable with an itinerant role that involves traveling between multiple schools and potentially changing assignments during the semester.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students with mild to moderate caseloads, with some potential for severe cases.
  • Deliver onsite evaluation, intervention, and progress monitoring aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and district staff to support student communication needs.
  • Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) when applicable, ensuring compliance with district and licensing standards.
  • Adapt to scheduling and location changes as needed throughout the school year.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California SLP license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
  • Experience working in schools, especially within California State Education Information System (SEIS) environments.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively within the county; familiarity with El Dorado Hills, Camino, Lake Tahoe, and Sacramento area travel is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage varying caseload sizes and itinerant responsibilities.
  • Ability to work onsite; remote options are not available for this position.
