Job Summary:

The primary purpose of the production Lead is to assist in ensuring effective, and safe operations as well as staff leadership for the Production floor.

Duties & Essential Job Functions

Train and lead associates in workflow as directed by the supervisor to achieve and maintain high productivity while simultaneously ensuring that all employees have the tools necessary to complete his or her works.

Closely monitor associates to ensure equipment is being utilized in the correct manner.

Ensure customer orders are being satisfied.

Maintain strong communication with both the Production Supervisor and the Shipping Supervisor to ensure timely production of goods on the finishing floor.

Monitor associate's hours and communicate with supervisor to produce maximum output while minimizing labor costs and eliminating overtime.

Work a 5-day schedule between 8 and 12 hours per day. Periodic demands of the business (ie. hurricanes or other weather issues) will dictate extended hours, six-day schedules, and possible a seven-day schedule.

Ensure employees feeding equipment always have material available.

Exhibit exceptional punctuality and attendance.

Lead and role model for associates a consistently professional and mature manner.

Listen to all employees, respect the employees right to speak.

Serve as a role model for respect for the company's policies and procedures.

Fill in and assist with any position as needed to ensure that production goals are met. This includes tie-out, soil, and productions positions.

Work in constant collaboration with maintenance to keep equipment functioning properly and reduce downtime.

Uphold a genuine regard for safety by ensuring that all safety protocols are being followed by all employees. Coach employees when safety concerns are observed to help teach them.

Other Functions and Responsibilities

Any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary

Decisions the incumbent must seek approval for prior to execution

Changes to existing procedures, existing order sequence or delay of work.

Investigations

Decisions the incumbent may decide and execute without prior approval

May decide to move employees between workstations to meet production requirements

The ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without accommodation
