Travel Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - Whittier, CA

Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years ER RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide exceptional nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting, delivering coordinated and patient-centered care to individuals or assigned patient groups. This role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to supervise nursing staff while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process and established clinical standards.
• Supervise and guide nursing staff of various experience levels to maintain efficient patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate patient treatment plans.
• Utilize professional judgment and critical thinking to make informed care decisions.
• Document patient care and nursing activities accurately and timely.
• Support Float Pool nursing activities through education and coverage, ensuring appropriate clocking into assigned units.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN licensure.
• Emergency Room nursing experience with strong assessment and critical care skills.
• Ability to supervise and direct nursing staff effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
