Cook 2 - East Kitchen
Job Description
Minimum of 2 years experience and 1 year certificate from culinary school or comparable experience required.
~Support Culinary team with events - prep, execution, service, cleanup
~Saute, prep, grill and carve food - basic knife skills required
~Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
~Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and event specifications
~Ensure proper food handling, sanitation and safety standards are consistently maintained
~Collaborate with the kitchen team during large events, ensuring efficient food service and timely prep
~Prepares breakfast, lunch, dinner buffets and plated meals
~Distributes food to banquet servers to serve to guests
~Preparing food using the stands grill, oven and fryer
•must have good hand-eye coordination to work with knives and hot cooking equipment
•must maintain good personal hygiene
•ability to read and interpret recipes and prep list
•must adhere to local food codes
•Ability to stoop and lift. Substantial walking, standing and pushing or pulling of equipment
•Daily lifting and carrying up to 50lbs up to 10 minutes at a time
•Constant reaching, standing, walking and stooping

- Assist in ordering and receiving food products for the kitchen as needed
- Work in a busy environment and standing for long periods of time
