Job Description
As a member of our team your goal each day is to serve the residents in our community in a meaningful and cheerful way. Customer service is the top priority as we work to bring fun and fulfillment to their lives. Responsibilities
- Safely transport senior residents to doctors’ appointments and other places in a timely and disciplined manner.
- Load and unload wheelchairs and walkers from vehicle. Help residents into/out of our company car and non-CDL bus.
- Carry out complete pre-trip inspection of vehicle to be used. Keep vehicles clean and vacuumed. Maintain drivers’ logbook. Comply with road traffic law enforcement agency regulations. Adhere to all safety requirements.
- Assist in facilitation of other activities programs as need and as directed by the Life Enrichment Director.
- Plan and research driving routes for scenic drives. Narrate during the drive, pointing out historic landmarks and vocalizing fun facts and history throughout the drive.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- Driving experience with company vehicle or company bus is highly preferred.
- Desire to serve and help others/senior population
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to obtain Level 1 Fingerprint Card
- Must be able to obtain CPR Certification
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Lead by example and be an exemplar team player
- Ability to plan and communicate in both written and spoken English
