Seeking registered nurses with Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience for travel assignments in La Mesa, NM. This opportunity places you at a well-established medical center in the Mesilla Valley known for quality healthcare and compassionate service since 1950. Work alongside a dedicated team in a Joint Commission Accredited hospital with specialized certifications including a Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and a Certified Primary Stroke Center.

Location Highlights:Situated in Las Cruces, NM, this area boasts year-round sunshine and serves as the Hatch Chile Capital. Outdoor enthusiasts will find over 250 miles of scenic hiking and biking trails, accompanied by attractions like White Sands National Park and Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks. Recreational activities such as ATV riding, hunting, and horseback riding are readily accessible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized nursing care for neonatal patients in the NICU.
  • Monitor and assess infant conditions continuously.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Maintain compliance with facility protocols and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with families about patient status and care procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Valid RN license with NICU experience.
  • Must meet New Mexicos state requirement for licensure (LPNT).
  • Successful completion of fingerprint background check prior to start; a 14-day supervised waiver may be granted while waiting for results.
  • Required certifications must be current before assignment.
  • Eligible candidates must reside 60 miles or farther from the facility to qualify as travel staff.

Schedule and Assignment Details:

  • Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
  • Travel assignment with a local pay rate starting at $51/hour.
