Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the remainder of the school year, primarily supporting elementary students. This role involves servicing an elementary caseload and requires working itinerantly between 2-3 school sites within the Waterville, ME area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to elementary students with diverse communication needs
- Manage and maintain an elementary caseload effectively
- Travel between multiple school locations to deliver therapy services as assigned
- Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and families to support student progress
- Document and report student progress in accordance with school policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs)
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with appropriate state licensure
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting
- Ability to manage an itinerant schedule across multiple school sites
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, families, and staff
- Knowledge of best practices in speech-language assessment and intervention
