A bit about us:

Our client is a government operated municipal utility organization serving a thriving community in Northwest Indiana. Responsible for the full spectrum of water services including drinking water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, and stormwater management, this organization plays a vital role in the health, safety, and daily quality of life of the residents and businesses it serves.

Since consolidating its utilities and public works operations into a single unified city services department, our client has grown into a full service infrastructure organization with nearly 70 staff members across multiple divisions. Governed by a dedicated board of directors and guided by a long range strategic plan, the organization is recognized as a leader in its field within the State of Indiana. The team operates around the clock, seven days a week, maintaining critical infrastructure including a major rated wastewater treatment facility and dozens of lift stations across the service area.

Why join us?

This is more than a maintenance job. At our client, you become part of the backbone of a community. A few reasons people build long careers here:
Stable, meaningful work. Infrastructure never stops. This role offers consistent full time hours, overtime eligibility, and the kind of job security that comes with serving an essential public need.

A team that takes care of each other. Employees consistently describe a collaborative, supportive crew and approachable management. This is not a revolving door organization. People come here and stay.

Continuous professional development. Our client invests in its people through ongoing safety training, certifications, and skill building. State operator certifications are supported, and the organization encourages technicians to grow their expertise over time.

Community impact. Every repair you make, every piece of equipment you maintain, keeps clean water flowing and the environment protected for thousands of people. That matters.
