Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and office support across a multi-function clinical testing laboratory. This role supports SRL leadership, including the SRL President and Operations Manager, and serves as a key point of contact between leadership and internal administrative departments.

The Administrative Assistant is the front-facing representative for SRL, responsible for managing incoming calls, correspondence, and visitor interactions. This position ensures efficient daily office operations while maintaining a professional, organized, and welcoming environment.

Location: Austin, TX 78727
Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to5pm
Full-time: Benefit Eligible

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to SRL Leadership and Administrative staff.
  • Serve as the primary office contact for SHUSA Central departments such as Human Resources and other shared service teams.
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming environment in the SRL lobby.
  • Greet and assist incoming guests and visitors.
  • Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls and messages.
  • Distribute USPS and interoffice mail and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Distribute FedEx and UPS deliveries and prepare outgoing shipments and labels.
  • Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, reserve conference rooms, and coordinate events and travel for leadership as needed.
  • Ensure supported staff is prepared with appropriate materials and information for meetings, events, and travel.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of office and break room supplies.
  • Order office supplies and coordinate deliveries with vendors.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain vendor contact and reference information for administrative purposes.
  • Assist with general office organization, documentation, and recordkeeping.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience using computers, including working proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet tools, and ATS or CRM database applications.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or office support role preferred.
  • Healthcare or laboratory environment experience preferred.

  • Ability to perform duties accurately and on time despite frequent interruptions.
