As a Registered Nurse in the stepdown unit, you will be responsible for:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria
• Managing post-operative open heart care and critical care patients
• Handling chest tube and other drain management
• Providing pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips
• Assisting with procedures such as chest tube removal and management of temporary pacers
• Floating to all units within your skill level as needed

Requirements for this role include:

• Need 2 years experience in setting
• Post-operative open heart care experience
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active Ohio or Compact RN License
• Ability to work every other weekend
