Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support a critical National Digital Exploitation and OSINT Center (NDOC, formerly NMEC) program delivering Data Exploitation capabilities to the Intelligence Community (IC) through the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P).
As the APM, you will partner closely with the Project Manager (PM) to support day-to-day execution of program operations. You will help drive program performance, coordinate across functional teams, and ensure alignment with customer priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. This role is ideal for a developing project management professional who will assist with coordination, tracking, and communication across the program while gaining exposure to program leadership responsibilities. The program includes a diverse team of 100+ professionals spanning software development, network engineering, Agile delivery, data analytics, outreach, QA/CM, and program controls. Work is primarily conducted on-site at our client location in Bethesda, MD. We offer a flexible schedule and, occasionally, some tasks may be performed remotely. Percentage of remote work will vary based on client requirements/deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Support the PM in execution of program priorities and task order activities
Assist in coordination of program deliverables, schedules, and milestones across teams
Track task progress and help identify risks/issues for escalation
Support facilitation of internal and external meetings, including Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs)
Assist in preparation of program status reports, briefings, and customer-facing updates
Maintain and update program artifacts, including risk registers and action trackers
Support development of program reviews, documentation, and PMO deliverables
Coordinate with PMO, staffing, and security teams to support hiring and onboarding activities
Assist in tracking staffing needs and program requirements
Participate in customer engagements as appropriate, supporting senior PMO leadership
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field. Additional years of experience in lieu of degree are acceptable.
4–8 years of relevant professional experience supporting technical programs
Experience supporting cross-functional technical teams
Familiarity with Agile environments (SAFe or similar frameworks preferred)
Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a Polygraph
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Gitlab)
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (or working toward certification)
Master’s degree in a related discipline
Prior experience in a project coordination, PMO support, or task support role
Familiarity with basic program management processes (scheduling, tracking, reporting)
Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) customers or similar environments

Pay Range:
Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
