Job Summary and Qualifications

  • Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures. 
  • Performs all ultrasound/vascular procedures following defined protocols. 
  • Observant of patients’ conditions. 
  • Notifies physician or supervisor of unusual occurrences. 
  • Compiles appropriate records to expedite results. 
  • Analyzes the quality of images and processes as required. 
  • Understands and operates electronic information systems, PACS, PacsCube, Powerscribe etc. 
  • Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean, organized working environment. 
  • Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of sonography. 
  • Participates in departmental QA/Accreditation process. 
  • Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner. 
  • Various other duties as assigned. 

What qualifications you will need:


  • Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound, or training in Ultrasound in a hospital program. ​​
  • One year of experience as Vascular and/or Ultrasound Technologist. 
  • Bachelor of Science in related field. 

Preferred Licenses, Certifications, & Training

  • ARRT or RDMS Registered​ ​​Required​ -must be obtained within one (1) year of hire or start in position 
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support​ ​​Required​
