Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing Occupational Therapy services to students from Kindergarten through 12th grade requires specialized skills and a dedicated professional approach. This contract role based in Yakima, WA offers a rewarding opportunity to support students across diverse grade levels, including K-5, 6-8, and 9-12.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions tailored to students developmental and educational needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create comprehensive treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments and document student progress regularly.
- Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and self-care abilities to enhance their academic success.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student individualized education programs (IEPs).
Qualifications:
- Active state license to practice occupational therapy.
- Experience working within school settings, preferably with students from K-12 grade levels.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently while maintaining detailed documentation.
Job Details:
- Location: Yakima, Washington.
- Contract duration: January 2026 through June 2026.
- Hours: 30 to 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
