Description
- Assist Assistant Controller and Controller with day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, fixed assets, sales and use tax, financial reporting and results analysis.
- Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts, fixed assets and inventory related accounts.
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed.
- Assist with general ledger entries, identifying fluctuations and root causes; and reconciling and balancing accounts.
- Assist with month end and year end closing processes.
- Prepare and file sales and use tax.
- Perform additional relevant duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent preferred; preferably in Accounting, Finance or other closely related field.
- 5+ years relevant, progressive accounting experience; preferably within a similar manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices.
- Expert technology and computer skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel and Access preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Typical office environment utilizing computers, telephones and other office equipment.
- Frequently sit for long periods.
