What you'll be doing:
- Lead and expand the AI Factory team within the AI Foundations directorate, driving innovation and growth
- Collaborate with a team of experts, including data engineers, AI/ML developers, full stack developers, MLOps teams, and product managers to develop and implement AI-enabled systems
- Provide technical expertise in infrastructure architecture and artificial intelligence to drive the development of cutting-edge solutions
- Work alongside a high-performing team to tackle complex problems and drive transformation in the field of artificial intelligence

- Technical expertise in infrastructure architecture and artificial intelligence, with a deep understanding of the latest developments and trends

This position is virtual/full time telecommuting with travel as required.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field: A degree in a relevant field is required, with a focus on computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in systems architecture or infrastructure engineering: Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying platforms and infrastructure to enable AI and machine learning, with a strong understanding of AI engineering principles and practices.
- 5+ years of technical leadership experience: Demonstrated technical leadership experience in directing high-performing projects, with a focus on hardware engineering, infrastructure architecture, high performance computing, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of AI platforms and architectures: Experience with Kubernetes, AI platforms, architectures, and frameworks, including cloud-based solutions, on-premises hardware, and containerization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills: Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
- Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of server hardening (STIGs) and secure off-network deployments.
- Advanced Automation: Expertise in Ansible and scripting for infrastructure-as-code and automation.
