Executive Chef Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of culinary leadership experience in high-volume kitchens.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage kitchen operations and staff effectively.

Executive Chef Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience in menu development and event coordination.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and cost control systems.

Executive Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily Back-of-House operations to ensure efficiency.
  • Set daily production pars to minimize waste and optimize workflow.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and portion standards.
  • Conduct line checks and tastings to maintain food quality and consistency.
  • Manage food costs and vendor relationships, ensuring strong pricing agreements.
  • Hire, train, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
