Forklift Operator Sit Down

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Sit Down Forklift Operator to join our team in East Dundee, IL. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with a consistent 1st shift schedule and competitive pay.

Job Title: Forklift Operator Sit Down

Location: East Dundee, IL

Shift: 1st Shift Monday through Friday

Hours: 5:50 AM 2:00 PM

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move, stack, and transport materials throughout the warehouse
• Load and unload trucks and trailers in a timely and accurate manner
• Pick, stage, and organize product according to order requirements
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklift equipment and report any mechanical issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
• Follow all warehouse safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and company procedures
• Accurately document inventory movements and complete required paperwork or digital logs
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of verifiable sit-down forklift experience
• Valid forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Reliable attendance and punctuality early morning start time required
• Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods
• Basic math and reading skills for inventory and documentation purposes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Experience with pallet jacks, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment
