Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Corning, NY, within a school setting. This role offers the chance to provide vital communication support to students in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches for student success
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Proven experience working with children in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and maintain detailed records
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practices
