Location: Novant Health Coastal Carolina Medical Center, 1000 Medical Center Dr., Hardeeville, South Carolina 29927 

Shift: varies 

Status: Full Time 

 

Our Emergency Department is a 16-bed unit that specializes in providing immediate medical care for patients with severe or urgent illnesses or injuries. It is equipped to handle a wide range of services, including initial assessment, treatment, stabilization, emergencies, from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions and potentially admission to the hospital. Our preferred patient ratio is 4:1.

What We're Looking For:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. 
  • Experience: 1 year of Clinical Experience, required. 
  • Licensure/Certification: Current unrestricted RN license in the State of South Carolina, required. Current BCLS and ACLS certifications; PALS is recommended, required. Current PALS, preferred. Advanced certification in specialty field and/or participation in professional organization(s), preferred. 
What You'll Do:
  • Coordinate shift assignments by matching patient acuity levels with the specific skills and experience of available nursing staff.

  • Supervise and mentor RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, providing real-time clinical guidance and support for complex procedures.
  • Oversee patient care plans, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure treatment goals are met.

  • Serve as a clinical resource for the team, stepping in to assist with high-risk patients or emergency "Code" situations.

  • Address patient/family concerns immediately, acting as the first point of contact for grievances or care quality issues.
