Job Description

Our client, a growing hospitality group, is seeking an experienced and hands-on General Manager to lead operations at a high-volume, select-service hotel in Bismarck, ND. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven hotel leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving strong financial performance.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: $80,000 – $90,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest service and brand standards are consistently met
  • Drive financial performance including revenue management, cost control, and profitability (P&L ownership)
  • Lead, train, and develop department heads and team members to build a high-performing culture
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and implement strategies to improve overall experience
  • Manage labor costs, scheduling, and staffing to align with business needs
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local/state regulations
  • Collaborate with ownership and leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
  • Maintain strong visibility on property and lead by example in a hands-on leadership role

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Hotel General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a select-service or midscale hotel
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, and maintenance
  • Proven ability to drive revenue, control expenses, and improve profitability
  • Experience with hotel management systems and revenue management practices
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on team development and retention
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to relocate to Bismarck, ND (relocation assistance provided)
