Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 10 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services.

Additional Details:

RTO must be listed at time of submission.

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years

Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance; blood product administration; cardiac telemetry; central line care/management; chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac; feeding tube care and management; heparin protocols; high flow nasal cannula (HFNC); interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs); interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; isolation precautions/PPE; manage cardiac drips-no titration; nasal cannula; non-invasive airway management; oxygen administration; oxygen tanks; peripheral line care/management; phlebotomy; pre/post cardiac cath; starting and maintaining IVs; surgical drains; telemetry - on-the-unit monitoring; telemetry - remote monitoring; titrate cardiac drips.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Accessing/managing ports; aneurysms and repair; continuous bladder irrigation (CBI); craniotomy; CVA (cerebrovascular accident); intracranial bleeds; manage vasoactive drips-no titration; pacemakers/temporary/permanent; PCA; PICC line management; post cardiac angiogram; post MI; post TPA care; pre/post cardiac surgery; pre/post hemodialysis management; pre/post neurosurgery; procedural sedation administration/monitoring; renal failure; seizure disorders; sheath removal; spinal cord injury; thrombolytic agents; titrate vasoactive drips; TR Band; tracheostomy care/management; traumatic brain injury; use of rapid response/code teams; wound care/wound vac.

Shift & Scheduling: No on-call. Weekends required: 6 shifts per 6 weeks. 48 hours are not approved.

Floating Requirements: Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted facility. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.

Details:

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/24/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 2
