Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to manage the financial lifecycle of diverse construction projects ranging from small-scale builds to $200M large-scale developments. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate job costing, billing, and compliance throughout the duration of each project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the construction industry and proficiency in Sage 300/Timberline.

Job DKey Responsibilities:
Manage all project-related accounting, including AIA G702/G703 invoicing and progress billings.
Oversee the lien waiver process, ensuring all unconditional and conditional waivers are collected and tracked accurately for subcontractors and vendors.
Process and track project change orders, ensuring they are properly reflected in the budget and job cost reports.
Administer Time and Material (T&M) billing and documentation.
Perform job cost analysis and maintain Work in Progress (WIP) reports using the Percentage of Completion method.
Conduct monthly project reviews with Project Managers to ensure budget accuracy and revenue recognition.
Process accounts payable and receivable specific to assigned projects.
Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting as related to construction operations.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Project Accountant within the construction industry (General Contractor experience preferred).
Expertise in Sage 300 CRE (formerly Timberline).
Deep understanding of construction-specific accounting principles: AIA billing, Lien Waivers, T&M, and Change Orders.
Proficiency in WIP reporting and Percentage of Completion accounting.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage financial data for projects exceeding $100M.
Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week in the Anaheim office.
Excellent communication skills to interface effectively with Project Managers, subcontractors, and clients.etails:

- Conduct financial analysis and prepare financial reports to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with the finance team and other stakeholders to improve financial processes and systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficient in job cost, Construction Accounting, Project Accounting, T&M, Time & Material, time and material.
- Experience with Sage, Vista Viewpoint, viewpoint, job costing, AIA billing, and AIA invoicing.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
