TransForce is seeking a CDL A  Driver to support local operations based in Pontoon Beach, IL.  This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team. 

CDL A Driver Details

  • Schedule: Monday -Friday 5:30am-until finished
  • Pay: $28.50 per hour + OT after 40, $1,120 - $1,540 Estimated weekly pay
  • Route Type: Local, Home Daily, No Weekends!
  • Freight / Load Type: Meat, grocery
  • Equipment: Manual transmission Tractor trailer. 36 & 48ft Reefer trailers
  • Handling: Pallet jack, dolly to load/unload. Drivers will be expected to touch freight, frequently required to lift, push, or move products up to 90lbs by hand, push/pull up to 350lbs of product w/hand cart

CDL A Driver Minimum Requirements:  
  • License: Class A
  • Experience: 1+ verifiable driving experience
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
  • Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements 

CDL A Driver Responsibilities:  
  • Safely operated equipment on local routes
  • Transport freight in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
  • Perform required handling tasks
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
  • Meet the physical demands of the role
