Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 48 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required from last 2 years.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Vermont license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• COVID vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Cross Country Program - The University of Vermont Health Network and no current placement allowed at Program: Cross Country Program - The University of Vermont Health Network.

Additional Details:

Required skills/experience: A minimum of 2 in years of ortho experience. Prior travel is required but will accept first travel if they have 4 years of strong M/S experience with ortho, as well as more than one large teaching, trauma center.

Preferred skills/experience: Large trauma level 1, teaching facility experience highly preferred.

Shift & schedule requirements: Assignment for 16-32 weeks. Weekends required, travelers may be asked to do more than every other weekend so must be flexible.

Special request requirements: Please ensure all employment gaps over 90 days are explained. This facility requires ALL work history information (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) to be complete in order to submit.

Unit and facility details: Public Transportation is NOT accessible in this area, please ensure you have reliable transportation, personal vehicle or rental vehicle are strongly recommended. Vehicles should be equipped with all season or snow tires during the months of November – April.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
