Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide essential nursing support in a preschool and childcare setting with a focus on personalized care. This contract role offers half-day coverage in Lapeer, MI, supporting young learners in a specialized educational environment.

Location:

• Lapeer, Michigan
• Kids & Company Preschool & Childcare

Schedule:

• 8:00 AM 12:00 PM (half-day shifts)
• Specific Dates: February 3, 9, 12, 17, 19; March 5, 11; April 7, 9, 10; May 7

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 nursing care tailored to individual student needs
• Perform G-tube suctioning and manage tracheostomy care with precision and compassion
• Assist with minimal to no toileting support, emphasizing independence where possible
• Adhere to strict compliance protocols including onsite fingerprinting and district badge acquisition
• Maintain clear communication with educational staff and parents to ensure continuity of care
• Complete onboarding processes promptly and meet deadlines for substitute acceptance by 8:00 AM or school start time

Qualifications:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with valid licensure
• Competence in G-tube suctioning and tracheostomy management
• Experience in pediatric nursing or school-based health care preferred
• Ability to handle sensitive health situations calmly within a classroom environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to compliance standards
