Role Overview
This position serves as the senior project leader for large-scale mechanical scopes at Los Angeles World Airports among other projects, overseeing execution from preconstruction through closeout. The role functions as a true owner’s representative on behalf of the contractor, with direct responsibility for financial performance, client relationships, and delivery outcomes.
Depending on experience, this role may be positioned as either a Senior Project Manager or Project Executive.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee complex mechanical HVAC, plumbing, and process piping scopes on active airport projects
Maintain full responsibility for project profitability, forecasting, and cost controls
Serve as the primary point of contact with LAWA, owners, GCs, engineers, and inspectors
Drive preconstruction efforts including budgeting, schedules, phasing plans, and constructability reviews
Manage senior PMs, project teams, and field leadership to ensure safe, on-schedule execution
Navigate work in occupied, secure, and highly regulated environments with minimal operational disruption
Oversee contract administration, change management, procurement strategy, and risk mitigation
Champion safety, quality, and compliance across all project phases
Required Experience
10+ years of experience in mechanical construction project leadership
Proven delivery of large, complex commercial or infrastructure projects ($25M+ mechanical scope preferred)
Prior airport or aviation construction experience strongly preferred
Deep knowledge of design-build and design-assist delivery models
Experience working with union mechanical trades
Strong command of financial controls, contract strategy, and executive-level communication
Location
Gardena, CA, with consistent on-site presence at Los Angeles World Airports
