Job Description

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Seeking a skilled Operating Room Technician (ORT) or Certified Surgical Technologist for a contract position in Westbrook, Maine. This role involves assisting in surgical procedures, ensuring sterile environments, and supporting surgical teams to facilitate patient safety and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and setting up surgical instruments
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control standards
• Monitor patient status and communicate effectively with the surgical team
• Manage inventory and restock surgical supplies as needed

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent Operating Room Technician credential
