Job DescriptionNursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS Oncology RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized nursing care for oncology patients, focusing on those undergoing chemotherapy and supportive treatments. Collaborate closely with oncology providers to deliver comprehensive patient care while adhering to staffing based on acuity scale assessments.
Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy and supportive therapies with precision and safety.
- Monitor patient responses and manage side effects.
- Work alongside oncology medical teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Document patient progress and communicate changes promptly.
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and standards.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in medical-surgical oncology nursing.
- Preferred: Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to meeting performance expectations critical to contract continuation.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM.
