Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) with experience in school settings, particularly those skilled in conducting evaluations for students on the autism spectrum. This contract role is onsite in Southeast Florida, offering flexible full-time and part-time positions within Palm City and surrounding areas.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLP licensure required
- Experience performing evaluations for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Background working in school environments preferred
- Ability to obtain required fingerprint clearance (may utilize Department of Health records)
Location and Schedule Details:
- Oak Hammock K-8, Port St. Lucie, FL: 2 days per week (DHH Cluster Site)
- CA Moore K-7 and FK Sweet Elementary, Ft. Pierce, FL: Full-time or part-time split between schools
- Caseload primarily includes K-8 students, with focus on completing evaluations to support district needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students, with emphasis on those diagnosed with ASD
- Collaborate with school teams to assist in managing evaluation backlogs
- Ensure all documentation and reporting meets school district standards
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
