Travel Surgical Technologist in Biddeford, ME

Job Description

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A certified Surgical Tech with strong nursing skills in ORT is sought to support a busy Operating Room team. This travel position offers an opportunity to work in a level 1 trauma environment, enhancing your specialty skills with diverse cases including general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, pediatrics, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgical teams in a 26-bed OR utilizing advanced equipment such as Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot systems.
• Maintain sterile technique and support patient safety during procedures.
• Participate in call rotations including overnight trauma call based on specialty team assignments.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient OR operations.
• Document accurately using Epic EMR system.

Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) credential is required.
• A minimum of three years of experience in an Operating Room setting.
• Level 1 trauma experience is essential.
• Familiarity with surgical specialties including GU/GYN, orthopedics, neuro, ENT, plastics, dental, and endovascular procedures is preferred.
• Strong teamwork, accountability, flexibility, and punctuality.

Schedule:

• 3x12 hour day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Weekend coverage approximately 1 in 4 weekends.
• One overnight trauma call shift (11 p.m. to 7 a.m.) as scheduled for specialty teams.
