This is a hybrid role in Vancouver.
Pay Range: C$56/hr – C$68/hr​

We are seeking a talented individual to join a dynamic team, where your expertise will directly influence the visual quality and animation fidelity of acclaimed game franchises. In this role, you will be a pivotal force in shaping the player experience, translating artistic vision into technical reality, and contributing to the overall success of groundbreaking titles. Your work will directly impact how characters move, interact, and tell stories within the game, making every moment more engaging and believable.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate closely with the Rigging Lead to develop rigged assets that meet the technical specifications of the game engine and target platform.
• Actively seek and integrate feedback from peers and art leads, while also following direction from the Rigging Lead.
• Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues with rigged assets, ensuring optimal performance and functionality on the target platform.
• Participate in team meetings, contributing to effective communication and project alignment.
• Consistently meet project deadlines and milestones established by project leads.
• Document new rigging tools, techniques, and workflows to enhance team knowledge and efficiency.
• Contribute positively to the team’s creative and collaborative environment.

What you’ll need:

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Rigger or equivalent.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating industry-standard rigging skills, including examples from professional productions.
• Proficiency with Maya, coupled with a high capacity to quickly learn new tools and processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of human and animal anatomy.
• Demonstrated ability in clean and efficient smooth skinning practices.
• A genuine passion for the interactive entertainment industry and an understanding of current trends and technologies.
• A proactive work ethic, with proven problem-solving capabilities and a willingness to tackle complex challenges.
• Readiness to adapt and learn in-studio workflows and proprietary tools.

Nice-to-have qualifications that will set you apart:

• Experience with Unreal Engine 5.
• Python scripting knowledge.
• Experience with MotionBuilder.
• Knowledge of Cloth or simulation techniques.
